Jobs and Section 3 Opportunities

The PACT Moore and Courtlandt project is committed to creating employment and economic opportunities for NYCHA residents.

As part of NYCHA's Section 3 and PACT requirements, the project has a goal of providing at least 25% of total project labor hours to NYCHA residents and other qualifying Section 3 workers, with priority placed on connecting residents to construction, property management, and related employment opportunities.

The PACT team is working with Building Skills NY and NYCHA's Office of Resident Economic Empowerment & Sustainability (REES) to help identify, recruit, prepare, and refer qualified candidates for available employment opportunities.

Building Skills NY is a workforce development organization that connects New Yorkers to construction and skilled-trade careers through job placement, training, career coaching, and employer connections.

Residents interested in construction employment or training opportunities can contact:

We would also like a direct link to Building Skills NY's employment interest/job-services page, so residents have an immediate way to express interest:

NYCHA REES

NYCHA's Office of Resident Economic Empowerment & Sustainability, or REES, works directly with NYCHA residents and PACT partners to support employment, training, and Section 3 opportunities.

REES is also coordinating with the PACT team and Building Skills NY to refer qualified NYCHA residents who are already within NYCHA's employment and workforce-development network when project hiring opportunities become available.

Residents can also connect directly with REES for employment, training, and other economic-opportunity resources:

NYCHA REES Hotline: 718-289-8100
Opportunity NYCHA / REES resources are also available through NYCHA's Self-Service Portal.
