Temporary Moves During Construction
Housing to Home (HTH) is coordinating temporary relocations during the PACT renovations at Moore Houses and East 152nd Street–Courtlandt Avenue.
Depending on the condition of your apartment and the work being completed, renovations will be carried out in one of two ways:
Temporary Move: Residents will temporarily relocate while work is completed in their apartment.
In-Place Work: Residents will remain in their apartment during construction.
Buildings Requiring Temporary Relocation
Residents of the following buildings will need to temporarily relocate for approximately 3 to 6 weeks:
372 East 152nd Street
370 East 153rd Street
Moore Houses Residents
At Moore Houses, most apartments will undergo in-place work, meaning residents can remain in their homes during construction. However, some households may need to temporarily relocate for approximately 3 to 6 weeks.
Residents will be informed during their one-on-one meeting whether a temporary move will be required.
You do not need to move or pack at this time. Housing to Home (HTH) will provide plenty of advance notice before any temporary relocation.
HTH will meet one-on-one with each household to explain the move process and gather any information needed to support your move.
Temporary relocations are expected to last approximately 3 to 6 weeks. HTH will cover all move-related costs, including:
Movers
Boxes and packing materials
Packing assistance, if requested
HTH Office Locations

Where Will Residents Stay During Temporary Relocation?
Residents who need to temporarily relocate will move to another apartment within Courtlandt or Moore Houses for approximately 3 to 6 weeks, depending on apartment size and the work being completed. Households in the same apartment line (the apartments directly above and below each other) will typically relocate at the same time.
What Notices Will Residents Receive?
Residents will receive:
A 30-day notice
A 2-week notice
A separate notice when it is time to return to their original apartment
HTH will also provide updates through flyers, phone calls, and in-person meetings.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact HTH. Family members or friends are welcome to join any meeting.
